The Indexer appears four times a year in March, June, September and December and is available both in print and online.
From its foundation in 1958 until 2007 (vols 1-25), it was published twice a year and volumes were biennial, consisting of 4 issues.
Since going quarterly in 2008, volumes (still consisting of 4 issues) are annual.
(The March 2008 issue is thus volume 26, number 1, the December issue will be volume 26, number 4.)

Full-length articles are normally subject to peer review. The views
expressed by contributors are not necessarily those of the Society of
Indexers or of any of the other signatories to the International
Agreement, nor do we guarantee the claims of advertisers.

The Society of Indexers is a non-profit organization founded in 1957 as
an autonomous professional body for indexers to promote
indexing, the quality of indexes and the profession of indexing. Further
details of the Society of Indexers and the other signatories to the
International Agreement will be found on the inside back cover of the printed version.
